Alison acquired the tools and mindset to scale her business while making new connections
Since 2010, battery technology specialists Continu have been providing businesses with continuous power to enable them to thrive resiliently.
Alison McFadden, Managing Director of Continu, is responsible for managing the company’s strategic direction, business development, sales and marketing. With the company experiencing rapid growth over the last 12 years, Alison was keen to find a way of moving the company forward with more sustainable and managed growth. For her, this meant finding ways to not just grow but scale.
Alison came across the ScaleX Accelerator Programme and was impressed by how interesting, unique and practical the 12-month scaling programme was. Unlike other leadership programmes, ScaleX had a strong focus on the well-being of the leader. For Alison, it was also an opportunity to meet like-minded people all going through the same experience of scaling up an SME.
Alison joined a group of other CEOS, leaders and MDs on the ScaleX Accelerator Programme. Over the course of 12 months, Alison received a tailored ScaleX™ Insights assessment of Continu, 12 in-person practical group workshops, 3 overnight residentials, 12 monthly 90-minute online mastermind sessions and an on-site vision and planning session with the wider Continu team.
Alison has taken her learnings from the international speakers and leaders on the programme and applied them to the company’s processes and operations.

On a personal level, Alison has also experienced a profound transformation as a leader. She notes the dramatic reboot of her personal self, her personal values and her personal vision, all of which have changed her life both at work and outside of work.
